SHIPLEY HOCO CONTEST 

OFFICIAL RULES
NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. A PURCHASE WILL NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING.

1. CONTEST PERIOD
The Shipley HOCO Contest begins on September 22, 2026 and ends on September 30, 2026 at 11:59 p.m. CT.
All steps required to complete an eligible entry, including submission of the Official Entry Form and required parent/legal guardian consent, must be completed by 9/30/26 at 11:59 PM C.T.
Entries received before or after the applicable Contest Period or that do not satisfy all entry requirements will not be eligible

2. ELIGIBILITY
The Promotion is open to legal U.S. residents who:

    
 	
  • Are at least fourteen (14) years of age at the time of entry;
    • 
 	
  • Reside within states in which Shipley Donuts operates.
    • 


Entrants who are under the age of majority in their state of residence must have consent of a parent or legal guardian to participate.
Parent/legal guardian consent is required as part of the entry process. An entry submitted by a minor will not be considered complete or eligible for judging unless and until the required parent/legal guardian consent has been received and verified by Sponsor.
Employees, officers and directors of Sponsor, its affiliates, franchisees, advertising and promotional agencies, and members of their immediate families and/or households are not eligible to enter. Void where prohibited or restricted by law.

3. HOW TO ENTER
During the Contest Period, eligible students may participate in the Shipley HOCO Contest through one of the following social activities:
Option 1 – Comment:
Comment on the designated/pinned Shipley HOCO Contest post on Instagram or TikTok and share a favorite homecoming story, tradition or moment. The comment must include #ShipelyHOCOContest
Option 2 – Create a Social Post:
Share a favorite homecoming story, tradition or moment in an original Instagram or TikTok feed post. The post must:

    
 	
  • Be posted during the Contest Period;
    • 
 	
  • Tag @shipleydonuts on Instagram or @shipleydonutsofficial on TikTok;
    • 
 	
  • Include #ShipleyHOCOContest; and
    • 
 	
  • Be posted from a public account and remain publicly viewable through the judging period so Sponsor can access the submission.
    • 


Social participation alone does not constitute a completed entry.
After completing one of the social activities above, the entrant must visit the link in the Shipley Donuts social media bio at [Shipley Donuts Official Instagram] and complete the Official Entry Form.
The Official Entry Form will require the entrant to provide:

    
 	
  • First and last name;
    • 
 	
  • Date of birth to verify that the entrant is at least 14 years old;
    • 
 	
  • City and state;
    • 
 	
  • Homecoming date;
    • 
 	
  • Instagram or TikTok handle;
    • 
 	
  • Link to social post, if applicable / indication of whether entrant commented or posted;
    • 
 	
  • Parent/legal guardian name;
    • 
 	
  • Parent/legal guardian email address; and
    • 
 	
  • Affirmative acknowledgment that the entrant has read, understands and agrees to comply with these Official Rules and that their submission satisfies the Contest requirements.

After submission of the Official Entry Form, the entrant's identified parent/legal guardian will receive a separate email requesting the required consent for the minor to participate in the Contest.
An entry is not complete or eligible for judging until the Official Entry Form has been properly submitted and Sponsor has received the required parent/legal guardian consent.
Limit one (1) entry per person during the Contest Period.

4. SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS
Entries must be the entrant’s original content and appropriate for a general audience. If a photo or video is submitted, it must be the entrant’s own original content, feature the entrant as the only identifiable person, and depict a real person.
Entries may be disqualified if they are incomplete, illegible or garbled; contain lewd, violent, inappropriate, sensitive or personally identifying information; infringe third-party rights; or otherwise fail to comply with these Official Rules.

5. WINNER SELECTION
Following the Promotion Period, eligible entries will be reviewed by Shipley Donuts and/or its designated representatives.
Potential winner(s) will be selected based on the following criteria:

    
 	
  • Homecoming/school spirit
    • 
 	
  • Creativity and originality
    • 
 	
  • Quality and authenticity of the story
    • 
 	
  • How well the submission brings the spirit of the Shipley HOCO campaign to life
    • 


This is a contest based on the stated judging criteria and is not a random drawing.
Sponsor's decisions regarding winner selection are final.

6. WINNER NOTIFICATION & PARENT/GUARDIAN CONSENT
Potential winner(s) will be contacted by direct message from the official @ShipleyDonuts social media account. Potential winners must respond withing 24 hours of notification. Before a minor potential winner can be officially confirmed, their parent or legal guardian must:

    
 	
  • Confirm consent for the minor's participation;
    • 
 	
  • Verify the minor's eligibility;
    • 
 	
  • Accept the prize on the minor's behalf, if required;
    • 
 	
  • Sign Sponsor's required release and consent documents; and
    • 
 	
  • Provide any additional information reasonably necessary to administer the Promotion.
    • 


A student is not considered an official winner until eligibility and parent/legal guardian consent have been verified by Sponsor. If a potential winner or their parent/legal guardian does not respond, does not provide the required consent, declines the prize or does not otherwise comply with these Official Rules, Sponsor may select an alternate potential winner.

7. PRIZE
One (1) winner will receive:

    
 	
  • Shipley-catered Homecoming celebration for winner
    • 
 	
  • Limo/transportation
    • 
 	
  • Shipley products/catering
    • 
 	
  • Game or HOCO-related experience
    • 
 	
  • Additional surprise-and-delight items
    • 


Approximate Retail Value (“ARV”): $2,000
Prize is non-transferable and may not be redeemed for cash. Sponsor may substitute a prize or component of equal or greater value if the advertised prize becomes unavailable.
Any expenses not specifically stated as part of the prize are the responsibility of the winner and/or their parent or legal guardian.
If the prize involves a school, school event, transportation, venue or other third party, fulfillment may be subject to applicable school policies, permissions, availability and other requirements.

8. USE OF ENTRIES & PUBLICITY
By entering, entrants grant Sponsor permission to review and display their submitted content in connection with administering and promoting the Promotion, subject to applicable law.
Potential winners and, where applicable, their parents/legal guardians may be required to sign a separate publicity and content release allowing Shipley Donuts to use the winner's name, social media handle, photograph, video, likeness, voice and submitted content for advertising, social media, publicity and promotional purposes.
Sponsor may repost or share eligible submissions in connection with the Promotion, subject to applicable permissions and releases.

9. GENERAL CONDITIONS
By participating, entrants and, where applicable, their parents or legal guardians agree to comply with these Official Rules. Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify entrants who attempt to tamper with the Promotion, provide false information, violate these Official Rules or otherwise interfere with the legitimate operation of the Promotion.
Sponsor reserves the right to modify, suspend or terminate the Promotion if circumstances outside Sponsor's reasonable control materially affect the administration, security or fairness of the Promotion, subject to applicable law.

10. RELEASE & LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
To the extent permitted by law, entrants and, where applicable, their parents or legal guardians agree to release and hold harmless Sponsor and its affiliates, franchisees, agencies and representatives from claims arising from participation in the Promotion or acceptance, possession or use of a prize, except where prohibited by law.
Additional releases may be required before a potential winner is confirmed.

11. SOCIAL MEDIA DISCLAIMER
This Promotion is not sponsored, endorsed, administered by or associated with Instagram, TikTok, Meta or any other social media platform on which the Promotion may be promoted or entered.
By participating, entrants acknowledge that questions, comments or complaints regarding the Promotion should be directed to Sponsor and not to the applicable social media platform.

12. PRIVACY
Information collected in connection with the Promotion will be used for purposes of administering the Promotion, verifying eligibility, contacting potential winners and fulfilling prizes, as well as otherwise permitted under Sponsor's applicable privacy policy.
